You are not special.

You are not the one exception in the Universe who isn’t brilliant, gifted, amazing. You are not the one at the end of the line, the one who got left behind.

I am continually astounded at the women I come across in my days – every single one of them has incredible talents and uniqueness that she frequently doesn’t see. So I am here to tell you – you are brilliant. You might not see it yet, but we do.

I remember when I first realized that I wasn’t special, that I was just as important and gifted as everyone else. How disappointed I was that I couldn’t blame my life on something outside of me because I didn’t get what everyone else got. That I’d actually been given all these gifts and I couldn’t just drift along in my conviction of my unworthiness.

So Here It Is:  You and I are uniquely gifted in our own ways, each of us with genius and power and magnificent abilities. And we each have a job to do, a responsibility to uphold – to use all that brilliant amazingness to live our potential in this wonderful, complex, frustratingly beautiful world.

The gauntlet’s been thrown and I accept the challenge. Do you?
